Endless Summer

Wow, we sure have been having some great fall weather around here.  The flowers are still all in bloom, too, as we have yet to have a frost.  I did bring in my tender geranium starts.  They are happier inside anyway.  Below is a picture of our tomato haul.  I cannot believe how prolific they are in November!

In other news, we were forced to replace our water heater.  I am very thankful that we have a cousin who is a plumber.  We now have an almost endless supply of hot water again.  Time to build up another emergency fund before the next emergency presents itself.  That is life!

Tonight, as we wait on the election results, we are going to play games and have a feast.  I decided to roast a chicken, make stuffing, cranberries, sweet potatoes, and green beans.  This fretful night needs some wholesome activity in my opinion.

  1. Wow, it's like you had Thanksgiving already, sounds yummy! We have kept the tv off as the mainstream media was so ridiculous (still are) and slept through the election, but I woke up around 2:45 a.m. and checked the results and then I could hardly wait for my Jeff to wake up so I could tell him. I had tears in my eyes out of praise & gratefulness. Love your abundant tomatoes. We have had a few hard frosts, but my heirloom surprised me with a after-frost rose + five more attached buds, so I brought it in and it blessed me in a vase for many days. I pulled my porch fern up close to the house and it's still looking pretty good too. Nice water heater, but it looks a bit in the way, hahaha. Just one of those necessities of being a homeowner (sigh). Have a super week. I might do a post about mom today or tomorrow. Life is quieting down a bit now, but still stressful -- I wish I could do more, but she is in the best possible place for her at this point.
